Illustration of Access by Ryan McNamee

During a study abroad program to Brazil, we quickly noticed how prominent graffiti art was. From extremely detailed pictures to quick letters, graffiti had become a second skin to the city. After talking with a few different artists, we realized that graf was not entirely about territory, but was more about having a voice and getting art to where everyone could see it. So we decided to produce a short film to show how social access is created through the examination of Polista graffiti.
